Jon + Kayla One Year Wedding Anniversary// October 29th, 2016
One year ago, Kayla & Jon tied the knot! They got married before I had this new website so I figured I would write a post about their wedding and post it on their anniversary. I am unfortunately a bit late, but better late than never!
Even though it was raining, the day started off on a good note with groom prep at the groom + brides new condo in Barrhaven. Filled with laughing and smiles, Jon got ready with his best friends and his sister. The colour scheme was grey and a gorgeous deep purple, my favourite colour combo!
After groom prep I headed over to the brides family farm in Stittsville for bridal prep. Kayla had all of her sisters and her friends around her as she got ready. Lots of gorgeous emotional moments, it was a joy to photograph her and her family. Kayla was wearing a gorgeous long sleeve wedding dress from David's Bridal while the bridesmaids wore deep purple convertible dresses they found online at Etsy. Once they were finished getting ready we headed on over to the Stittsville United Church to get them married!
They had decorated the church beautifully and they had a bunch of beautiful poems + songs during their ceremony. People cried, I may have teared up a little bit. I won't fully admit it but weddings get to me and make me emotional.
After the ceremony we did family photos in a little trail off the road that was little mini forest area. We did a couple photos there of the bride and groom, but ultimately we ended up going to Watson's Mill as it was getting dark and was raining again.
Off we went to Watson's Mill where we took some photos outside but the darkness was looming so we went inside. Inside we took some more photos before heading to Kars for the reception.
The reception hall was decorated with mason jars, burlap, bunting, and twinkle lights. There were flowers everywhere! It was gorgeous and was like a Pinterest perfection!

P.S: The wedding favor was the best of the season; HOMEMADE SALSA! Yumm!
