Sand Point Golf Course// Erin & Derek Wedding

Erin and Derek's Wedding in September was an absolute dream! I don't normally do short amount of coverage but when I was talking to them it was a wedding I didn't want to pass up! They are such an amazing couple and their daughter was so adorable that it was just a match made in photography-client heaven.

Thankfully it was one of my available dates so I booked them! Even though it was only 3 hours of coverage, I got so many amazing images!

Erin and Derek became fast friends as our kids are close in age. The morning of the wedding Erin sent me a selfie when she had her hair and make up done, with the caption of "This shit just got real!" Totally made me laugh and made travelling 1.5 hours for their wedding totally worth it. They are such an adorable couple and I am so happy that I was their wedding photographer.

Their wedding was at Sand Point Golf Course and outside in the September fall sun and it was beautiful! They had the bridesmaids in a beautiful, long, sage green dresses. Erin was wearing a gorgeous lace wedding dress by Renewed With Love Bridal, which she totally rocked and looked stunning! When I saw her in her dress I thought she looked amazing. Their wedding was very boho chic and full of flowers, which fit this couple amazingly.

Erin and Derek had their first look in the golf course green by a cute little bridge. When Derek saw Erin his face was priceless! I mean look at his face, he was stunned by how gorgeous Erin looked in her dress.

Just look at the gallery below, you'll see what I mean!

The groom, Derek, was wearing his suit from Tip Top Tailors in Kanata. It was a striking dark grey as that was paired with a light pink tie, and it looked very sharp.

One of the best things about their wedding was that they included their daughter in their ceremony by having her as their flower girl (wearing a dress from H&M Kids!). During the ceremony she walked back down the aisle picking up all of the flower petals that she threw and put them back in her basket. It was a really cute moment that made everybody laugh. Their whole wedding day was Pinterest worthy and gorgeous. Those gorgeous wooden flower stands at ceremony were made by her 90 year old grandfather and finished by her uncle Mike. Seriously was a Pinterest worthy wedding!

I want to wish Erin & Derek best wishes on their marriage and congratulations! Thank you for having me as your photographer, it was an honour and I absolutely adored being a part of your big day!

P.S: A funny story. That veil that she is wearing is like the sisterhood of the travelling pants, but in veil form! In January 2016 one of the best friends wore it, June 2017 another friend wore it, and then September 2017 Erin got to wear it as her something borrowed. It has now earned the title of The Travelling Veil. It will likely get passed to another best friend for her June 2018 wedding. This group of friends are basically family. Even though they live all over, some on the East Coast and some on the West Coast; they still manage to talk daily regardless of how busy their lives are. This veil is just one of the amazing ways they stay connected over the years and through the big moments. That veil has so much meaning to it!!
