Summer Wedding On The Ottawa River// April & Julian
As an Ottawa Wedding Photographer I have a really busy wedding season from May until October with my own weddings for my company. Ever since I became full time and threw myself into my business full time, I have met some wonderful people who are also photographers and we have become really close friends! One of those ladies is Kayla and I had the opportunity to second shoot for her in July for April & Julian’s wedding at the Rockcliffe Pavillion.
When I second shoot they usually send me to do the groom prep by myself, so off I went to Julian’s place to do groom prep with him and the groomsmen. The details were great, and the groomsmen and the groom were full of laughter! The boys were so funny that even I was laughing at their antics.
April and Julian’s wedding was full of love and laughter, and they had all of their friends and family with them at their wedding. I’ve only been at Rockcliffe Pavillion a couple times but never for a wedding there. Man, was it BEAUTIFUL! I think that more weddings should happen there because it was absolutely stunning.
April’s dress was a mermaid strapless dress, which fit her and her personality so well! I loved it! Working at a bridal shop like All That Glitters, I see all types of wedding dresses so I find it so difficult to pick a style that I love because they are all beautiful and look great on everybody. But there was something about the style and silhouette of April’s dress that I just loved.
There bridal party and bride + groom portraits were at Black Rapids. Now, the thing about this that made my heat sing was that they chose Black Rapids for their portraits and that was where my husband + I got our wedding portraits done there as well as where Adriel proposed to me and we had a bunch of dates there. It was a beautiful location and is very near and dear to my heart. I love when my couples pick there for their portraits, it literally is one of my favourite places in the world. Jasper still is my favourite of course!
