You know when something happens and you just want to yell YES this is AMAZING!
Anyone, Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Well, I met Erin & Derek at a Starbucks in Kanata back in late winter/ early spring and we all got along instantly! Like we all had so much in common that it was just right to be their wedding photographer for their September wedding coming up this fall.
We arranged their engagement session for spring time but what we didn't account for was springtime flooding. So it got postponed till the weather cleared up. The weather God's seemed to be against us but we prevailed and found a date that had great weather and worked for everyone!
Erin and I were trading photos on Pinterest as we planned this session and she decided on a sunset family engagement session. I had never done a family engagement session before so I was up for the challenge! Plus their little girl is SO CUTE that I figured it would be a blast!
We went to a park in Kanata, Ontario and found a beautiful fountain, gazebo, and some tall weeds. I know that part you're thinking is this girl CRAZY? WHY WOULD SHE POSE THEM BY WEEDS?? Well, take a look at the photos because they turned out beautiful! I'm almost done talking, I promise. I'll let the photos do the talking!
I am very excited to be able to share this with you as these sunset photos are some of my favourite, with the gorgeous light filtering in through the weeds and grass, to the sun off of the water fountain. This whole session was gorgeous and I love it.
Erin & Derek, thank you for choosing me to do your engagement portraits, and I can't wait for your wedding in like a week!! Eeekkk!
